how to use

begin with the piece that calls to you - palo santo for warmth, or incense for a slower burn.

palo santo: before burning, remove the dried botanicals and keep them as a tiny bouquet for your altar or desk. light the wood, let it catch for a few seconds, then gently blow out the flame and let the smoke move through the room. rest it in the smudge dish while it burns or when you're ready to pause.

incense: light the tip, let it smolder, place it in the brass daisy holder and let the room soften around you.

always burn within sight. never leave burning ritual tools unattended.
ritual details

  • handrolled incense from Cusco, Peru made the same way its been for generations. tree resin and vegetable gum, no charcoal, no fillers, no synthetic fragrance. each stick burns for approximately 40 minutes.
  • the palo santo spent at least three years on the forest floor in Peru before it reached you. we gather only from branches that have fallen on their own. as the wood rests, the resin slowly crystallizes, forming the amber veins. the deeper the veins, the richer the burn. this cannot be hurried.
